Honor for a Former Archer

Demarcus Beasley left Fort Wayne in 1998 after two years at South Side to join the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.  Beasley, a 5-foot-8 defender, has been on the U.S. national team since 2001 and has played with the Major League Soccer’s Houston Dynamo since 2014.  He has appeared in 126 national team games, including a record four World Cups, and scored 17 goals. He also had club stints with the Chicago Fire, PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Manchester City in England, the Rangers in Scotland, Hannover in Germany and Puebla in Mexico.   The induction ceremony is scheduled for March 3 at the Renaissance Hotel in Carmel.  Congratulations to our former Archer…
